The staff members were often grumpy, making the atmosphere unwelcoming. Despite the hotel's beautiful mountain location, the amenities did not live up to expectations. The pool was ice-cold, which was a huge letdown since it was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. the breakfast offerings ran out quickly, and we often encountered limited choices. We expected more attentiveness from the staff, especially given the pricing.

Easy to reach without a car thanks to the 81 bus from Funchal stopping right outside. The pool area boasts marvelous views, and the jacuzzi was a nice touch after our long hikes. while the staff were friendly, their responsiveness varied.

utterly disappointed. breakfast was mediocre at best, and the coffee was simply awful, yet the staff flaunted their superior espresso. the pool? a disaster! opened late and no one bothered to turn on the jacuzzi, i almost thought it was a joke. surprised i didn't get a complimentary upgrade for the trouble. thanks for nothing.
